There is a saying that every Realtor says to their clients about property in Havasu - "Every lot has a view of the Lake." That's true except you see everyone's rooftop when looking down at the Lake. The view from the Web Cam shows my front yard, Aqua Drive, the neighbors rooftops, and the mountains in the distance. If the camera was better - we'd see the Lake.

I wondered if I should set up the camera with streaming video or with a static photo updated every 5 minutes?

Of course, with streaming video you would get to see the wind blowing through the Creosote Bushes or the occasional car driving on Aqua Drive.

We opted for the 5 minute update. I figured as much 'action' that we have in these parts - you would never know the difference.

This photo was taken from a USGS Satellite sometime in 1994. It shows what Aqua Drive looked like then. Today, there are a few more homes on our street.

OK. So we do not have the most exciting Outside Web Cam view that you have seen on the Internet. Nobody said that life here in Lake Havasu City was exciting.
