John and I go back to the early 1950’s in Jersey City, NJ when we both lived in brick tenement walkups. We went to the same elementary school and played the same games: stickball, kick the can, making forts from old Christmas trees, riding our two wheelers and playing in the park across the street. It took me 50 years to reconnect with him but as soon as I did there seemed to be an instant connection once again. I am hoping to receive several pictures of him as a child and how he appears today to place on this page of the “oldest” friend I have ever had. I am in the process of trying to reconnect with many old friends, relatives and associates I have known over the years and it has been very enjoyable. It seems to be much easier to connect with the past than I originally thought that it would be. And oddly enough it doesn’t make me feel older it makes me feel younger.
