The Adirondack woods and waters provide an endless source of outdoor
entertainment. In the summertime, one can enjoy canoeing, boating,
fishing, water skiing, swimming, hiking, biking, golfing, and camping.
Many roads and trails are also available for ATV enthusiasts.
Forest Pond Cottage is nestled in the Adirondack Park which is filled
with scenic trails, abandoned roads, and deserted railroad beds. Mountain
biking, ATV riding, backpacking, hiking, and horseback riding are favorite
activities for many of our guests. Horseback rentals are conveniently located
only 15 miles away.
For the canoeist and kayakers, there is a choice between the rapid, swiftly
flowing waters of the Moose River through a wild remote area or the smooth
and quiet waters of the Black River and Beaver River. There are also a number
of small lakes such as Francis Lake located 3 miles away and ponds where
quiet solitude grants a chance to observe wildlife in its native habitat, to fish,
or just relax and enjoy nature's bountiful assets. |
