Tracked Vehicle

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a tracked vehicle of my own, but who wants to have a full sized dozer or tank around? The maintenance alone would be a big project, forget about the cost! So, I decided to try to make my own. I used, as usual, a bunch of old scrap stuff and built up the tracks, chassis, etc. I haven’t had much success with it so far. I have been able to drive it out of my garage on three separate occasions only to have a drive sprocket break! I have now replaced 2 of the 4 drive sprockets. I guess I’ll replace the others at some point. I think I tightened them up too much initially and put cracks in them and now they are failing one after the other. This is my one major failure (so far) of all of my projects. It may still work but I am a bit down on it after having multiple failures!
